FUMO ETM-..4 electromagnetic multi-disc clutches are industrial friction disc clutches designed for controlled shaft engagement in transmission systems of machine tools and industrial equipment.
These clutches are designed exclusively for operation in an oil bath, which reduces component wear and ensures efficient heat dissipation during operation.
Torque transmission is achieved through a friction disc pack, allowing the transmission of high loads within a compact assembly.
The clutch is actuated by an electromagnetic coil powered at 24 ± 1 V DC. Upon request, the clutches can also be supplied for 12 V or 48 V DC power supply.
The ETM-..4 series allows torque transmission in the range of approximately 20 to 1600 Nm, depending on the clutch size.
These clutches are manufactured by FUMO-OSTRZESZÓW, a European producer specialized in electromagnetic clutches and brakes used in the machine tool industry.

⚙️ INSTALLATION AND POWER SUPPLY RECOMMENDATIONS
Lubrication of the clutches is required for:
● Reducing wear of friction discs
● Dissipating heat generated during operation
The use of mineral oils with viscosity below 37 cSt is recommended.
Depending on peripheral speed:
● V < 12 m/s → oil with max. viscosity 37 cSt
● V > 12 m/s → oil with approx. viscosity 20 cSt
Oil temperature must not exceed 60°C, and stabilized clutch temperature must not exceed 90°C.
Lubrication can be achieved by:
● Internal supply through a hollow shaft
● Oil pouring
● Oil immersion up to approx. 1/6 of the clutch diameter
