FUMO ETM-..6 electromagnetic multi-disc brakes are friction disc units designed for use in transmission systems of machine tools and industrial equipment.
The multi-disc units in this series are designed exclusively for operation in an oil bath, which reduces component wear and ensures efficient heat dissipation during operation.
Actuation is achieved through an electromagnetic coil powered by 24 V DC, with optional versions available for 12 V or 48 V DC upon request.

⚙️ LUBRICATION
Lubrication of multi-disc units serves to:
● Reduce wear of components, especially friction discs

The use of mineral oils with viscosity lower than 37 cSt is recommended.
Depending on the linear speed (V), measured at the outer diameter of the discs:
● V < 12 m/s → oil with max. viscosity 37 cSt
● V > 12 m/s → oil with approx. viscosity 20 cSt
Oil viscosity is specified at 50°C.
The lubrication method depends on the operating conditions and installation within the transmission system.
