FUMO ETM-..2 electromagnetic multi-disc clutches are industrial friction disc clutches designed for controlled shaft engagement in transmission systems of machine tools and industrial equipment.
These clutches are designed exclusively for operation in an oil bath, allowing efficient cooling of the friction disc pack and ensuring stable performance under demanding working conditions.
Torque transmission is achieved באמצעות a friction disc pack, enabling the transmission of high loads within a compact assembly.
The clutch is actuated by an electromagnetic coil powered at 24 ± 1 V DC, via brush holders type EMS-2A or SV-22, which provide electrical contact with the slip ring of the clutch.
The ETM-..2 series allows torque transmission in the range of approximately 20 to 1600 Nm, depending on the clutch size.

⚙️ INSTALLATION AND POWER SUPPLY RECOMMENDATIONS
● The negative pole of the power supply must be connected to the machine body
● The positive pole must be connected to the brush holder
● For slip ring speeds above 10 m/s, the use of two brush holders is recommended, positioned at a maximum of 90° from each other
To protect the electromagnetic coil against overvoltage in the supply circuit, it is recommended to use a protection element connected in parallel with the coil, such as:
● A resistor with resistance approximately 10 times higher than the coil resistance
● A semiconductor diode
● A resistor + diode combination
